The ShedBlog has launched a series of windows for Wide Span Sheds, custom sized to work with the standard window openings for SteelX & Wide Span Sheds.
If you have bought or going to buy a Wide Span shed, barn or home, one thing you’ll know is that WideSpan shed kits are not supplied with windows, which could become a real pain in the glass… except for the fact that… We sell AMIA aluminium sliding windows that have been specially designed to work with Australian Steel Sheds and steel cladding.
These windows are used by many major shed companies and are well suited to domestic as well as commercial buildings. They are also available to suit habitable dwellings / Class 1 sheds. Best of all, we have a range of sizes that work with Wide Span Shed kits so you can have a better shed with better lighting and a killer view! Custom Widespan Sizes include 600 x 600, 900 x 1200 & 900 x 1500 plus many more options.

Why these windows?
These windows we have for Wide Span Sheds have 16mm rollers with tyres that do not form ‘flat spots’ and stainless steel bearings to ensure a very smooth and easy operation. They are far superior to cheaper windows that operate on plastic guides that often break and are difficult to open and close! These are the best windows for your Wide Span shed.
Easy to Install Windows
These windows are quick and simple to install, and instructions are provided with every window. They are self-flashing when correctly installed, so there is no need to provide any other metal flashings to trim or waterproof these windows. They have a 19mm fin on all sides to assist with the simple fixing into position with a few tek screws. The tek screws can be further hidden with the addition of optional Trim Bead Extensions to the side of the window if you have vertical cladding or in the case where you have horizontal cladding, to the top and bottom.
There is also no ugly black PVC sill flap along the bottom to close off pans in the cladding. Sill flaps were designed for brick and masonry sills, not steel cladding.
Quality, Australian-Made Windows
All these great windows are engineered to meet or exceed all Australian wind regions. Ask us for full product options and engineering details if you require them. These widths are sized to fit the most common steel wall sheeting profiles used for Australian sheds.
Example window installation instructions for Wide Span shed can be found on our How to Install Shed Products page. Your Wide Span Sheds construction manual will show you how best to use the materials supplied by them to create an opening in your shed.
