Established in 1921, Lysaght now celebrates their 100 years of steel manufacturing in Australia. From quintessential corrugated roofing to large commercial & industrial projects, Lysaght has been at the forefront of the Australian building industry throughout its proud heritage.
We love this old photo above. It shows Custom Orb (Corrugated Iron being rolled out sideways. I would never have guessed they did that ever?
Through this long history, and as part of Australia’s largest steelmaker, Lysaght is also known for the extensive technical expertise offered by our experienced staff through a network of 25 locations Australia-wide. Today, Lysaght manufactures an extensive range of finished steel building products, including roofing, walling, guttering, fencing, purlins and formwork. Lysaght manufactures iconic, industry-standard products such as CUSTOM ORB® corrugated roofing, KLIP-LOK concealed-fix roofing and BONDEK® composite steel formwork.
In this later historical image, you can see that they are certainly rolling in lengths now. Custom Orb is on the machine but over on the left, you can see an assortment of dies for the roller. How cool!
And to celebrate their 100th anniversary, they have planned a range of activities and programs in the coming weeks and months. They have also prepared a video to launch their 100 Year Anniversary program that gives an insight into the Lysaght journey over the years.
